Meet the students of 3003

In the course of the fall semester, these students will be pounding their beats as they learn multimedia storytelling.  As usual, they have chosen a wide range of interests and industries to report on.  We begin with all things health.

Jordan Jones is scouring the University of Oklahoma to find stories about fitness research and technology. She will also bring national fitness findings down to the local level.  Amy Slanchik's A Healthier You focuses more on what you put in your body than what you do with it. From the sports angle, Joe Truesdell is looking for the unique characters and programs on campus while Siobhan Weathers will report on OU women's programs and athletes.

A number of students are reporting on Oklahoma industries. If you are interested in how the changing economy is changing Norman businesses you must follow Carmen Forman's Keep it Local . Two students are reporting on the OK film industry. Matt Shaffer's Entertainment News is geared to looking at the big business of film production in the Sooner state. Kelsey Hightower is covering the grassroots level of art and entertainment in Norman on her Behind the Scenes. On Urban HipsterIda Skadberg is reporting on the fashion industry in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma's culture is also of interest for some students.  Cailey Dougherty is digging for stories that highlight OU's rich weave of ethnic backgrounds and diverse perspectives. Brittany Belli's beat centers on the international programs and opportunities for OU students and Lauren Nevitt's Then and Now provides a view of OK culture from the rearview mirror of time.

Feeling stressed out?  Then you have to visit Emily Otness's MMJ Blog.  And, last but not least, Kevin King has signed up for the tough job of covering Greek life around campus.
